Join the Documentary Film Group at Cinemateket on Wednesday, September 2 at 19:30 for a documentary on the battle between bicycles and cars. BIKES vs CARS (2015) depicts activists in cities around the world who are using bicycles as a do-it-yourself tool for local change, and contrasts them with the powerful business interests that lobby for and promote private car ownership despite ever worsening traffic chaos. The film will be introduced by its director, Fredrik Gertten, who will also participate in an open discussion after the film.
