Membership in the AWC Oslo offers a chance to be part of a supportive community dedicated to philanthropy and personal growth. By joining, you’ll participate in enriching activities and contribute to causes that make a difference.
We gather from September to June on the second Tuesday of each month. Meetings begin with socializing, followed by club business, followed by refreshments and feature guest speakers or activities.
Meetings are usually in Frogner, Oslo. AWC is not affiliated with any religious organization. Special meetings, like our November Thanksgiving dinner and the June restaurant gathering, make these evenings even more special.
Beyond monthly meetings, the AWC offers a variety of special interest groups for members to explore shared hobbies and passions. Participation is voluntary, and members join as their schedules allow. Current groups include:
Wine Group: For wine lovers interested in tastings and wine education.
—if you have an idea, let us know!
Throughout the year, we also organize special events that combine fundraising with opportunities to socialize and have fun. Check our events calendar for the latest updates.
We have a vibrant community of amazing expatriate women that aim to gather around and get to know other like minded people. Let's enjoy Oslo together and build relationships that will last a lifetime.
LIBRARYOne of the long-standing purposes of American Women's Club of Oslo has been to maintain an English-language library for its members. Our library contains approximately 3,000 books, and is constantly being updated with new materials. All members are permitted to check out up to five books at a time. The loan period for checked-out books is two months, but items can be renewed by emailing the librarian. Unfortunately, we do charge late fees for overdue books, but these fees are then applied to the purchase of new books! The library is open before and after all monthly member meetings. |
