A special guest speaker will be joining us for our March meeting to share with us her life's story and vision that she emulates in her books. 

Karin Lillehie Bakhtiar is the author of several books, including A Young Paladin of Zabul, and At Dawn the Simorgh Appears. 

Going by the pen name K.A. Lillehei; she is a Scandinavian-American from Bainbridge Island in the Pacific Northwest who spent her formative years in the American Southwest. Lillehei has a doctorate in anthropology/linguistics from the University of New Mexico in the U.S. She has lived in several countries studying their cultures and languages. 

She pulls inspiration for the stories both from her own life and travels, as well as her anthropological studies.
