April Member Meeting: Women in Science: "Women in nuclear astrophysics - why do we love atomic nuclei and stars?"

Have you heard that there is a dearth of women in the hard sciences?   Well, come meet Dr. Ann-Cecilie Larsen, physicist and researcher at the Oslo Cyclotron Laboratory.   Ann-Cecilie  was a  Fulbright researcher to both Michigan State University and UC Berkeley in 2016-17.  A source tells us she is "absolutely delightful in the way she presents her field."    How can you not have questions for someone whose research questions include

What happens if the atomic nucleus is heated to several billion degrees?

How were the elements that we know of in the Universe made?

How can nuclear physics save lives?
