About the Group

Because of the diversity of our members, we have many lively and interesting discussions.  We take turns meeting at each other's homes where the hostess provides a simple snack and either coffee or tea to drink. There is a slight cost involved in buying the books that we read but it is also possible to find many of the books in the AWC library or to borrow from other book group members. The book group reads classics, best sellers, fiction and non-fiction. At the September meeting, which is the first meeting of the year, everyone brings book suggestions and together we come up with a list of books that we will read for the upcoming year.

We typically meet on the third Tuesday of the month at 7:00 pm, although we have been flexible in the past if there is another day that might work for most members. The book group coordinator sends out a reminder email to members one week before the scheduled book group meeting. Members then RSVP by email to the meeting's hostess no later than 2 days before the book discussion. The book group is for everyone who loves to discuss books in a relaxed and friendly setting.
