Potential Members and New Members
You must be an existing member of the American Women's Club of Oslo, or you must be eligible for membership in order to log in to our website.
If you are interested in becoming a member, but would like some more information before you apply, you will not be able to register on our website and obtain a login and password at this time. In this case, we encourage you to browse our FAQ section for information about the club, then contact us with any additional questions you might have. If you are ready to apply for membership, the registration process for setting up your website login and password is also the application for membership in the American Women's Club of Oslo. On the right side of the home page is a Register link. Fill in all the information requested, then click the Register button at the bottom when you are finished.
You will then receive an email containing a link that asks you to confirm your email address by clicking that link. After you click that link, you will need to pay your membership dues. To learn more about membership dues and how to pay them, please read "How much are membership dues?" in our FAQ section.
Once our treasurer confirms that your membership dues have been paid, she will approve your membership. You will receive an email informing you that your registration has been approved. At that point, you can log in to the website using your email provided at registration and the password you chose.
Existing Members
If you were not at the January 2011 member meeting, you missed the presentation of the new website and the introduction on how to register for your new website login and password. Never fear!
First, we ask that you read the website launch announcement. This will give you an overview of what you missed at the January meeting. Once you've done that, you are ready to register for the website.
To register, click the Register link on the right side of the home page (www.awcoslo.org). The registration form you may recognize as being the same as the membership application form. They are indeed one and the same. Unfortunately, as stated in the website launch announcement you just read, you will need to fill in all this information in order to populate your website profile, even though you are already a member.
Once you have filled in everything and clicked the Register button at the bottom, you will receive an email containing a link. The email will instruct you to click the link to confirm your email address. This is a security feature to protect our website from spam attacks. Click that link to confirm your email address is legitimate.
At that point, you will need to wait for a bit. Our membership moderators will review your registration to ensure you are an existing member whose dues are paid for the year. Once that is confirmed, our membership moderator will approve your registration and you will receive another email informing you that your registration has been approved.
When you receive that email, you are ready to go! Use the email you provided and password you chose when registering to log in to the website going forward. This will give you access to all our "members only" information. If at any time you find you have forgotten your password, click the "Forgot login?" link under the login fields.

Open that email and click on the hyperlink provided, which confirms your email address is valid. This step cannot be skipped. The email may not be received instantaneously, so keep checking. If you have not received the email within a few hours, check your email's Spam folder and do a search of your email archives for the sender and subject line above. - Now you must wait until a membership moderator approves your registration. Your registration will be approved once it is confirmed that A) you are eligible for membership, and B) your annual dues are paid. If you do not fit both these criteria, your registration will not be approved.
